On December 13, Studio Classroom and Heavenly Melody concluded their annual Christmas concert tour in Taipei. There were four performances this year in Taipei, Kaohsiung, and Zhongli. The theme of this year’s concerts was The King of Christmas, and this original production combined drama, music and visual storytelling to tell the story of Jesus’ birth through a new perspective. More than 6,600 people attended the four concerts in-person, and over 12,000 viewers watched the concerts online via livestreaming. Around 500 people wanted to learn more about Jesus, and about 70 people made decisions to accept Jesus as their personal savior.
Studio Classroom teacher John Telfer wrote the theme song, “The King of Christmas”. He shared that today’s world is filled with turmoil, disappointment, and brokenness. Yet the birth of the world’s true King—Jesus—redeems us from the cost of sin, death, and darkness, and brings light and hope into our lives.
ORTV Executive Director Daniel Hsieh shared that the program aimed to help audiences re-examine their life priorities. “In the Christmas story, the King who brings peace and hope reminds us to pause and ask ourselves—are we truly pursuing what matters most in life?”
One of the highlights of this year’s production was the use of extensive animation for background visuals. Studio Classroom video director Daniel Baskte created over 100 AI-generated animation clips to create a more immersive experience for the audience. We look forward to continuing to use music, drama, powerful storytelling and technology to share the love of Christ to those near and far!
