  • 1926–Born in Seattle, Washington, USA on August 5, 1926
  • 1948–Arrived in China for missionary work
  • 1950–While working with refugees in Hong Kong, father passed away in Seattle
  • 1951–Moved to Hualien, mother passed away
  • 1960–Moved to Taipei and founded the Chinese Salvation Broadcasting Team, started broadcasting Gospel radio programs
  • 1962–Launched Studio Classroom, Taiwan's first English learning radio program
  • 1963–Chinese Salvation Broadcasting Team renamed as Overseas Radio & Television, Inc. Founded Heavenly Melody
  • 1981–Launched Let's Talk in English magazine
  • 1984–Received the Special Award of the Ministry of Education’s National Excellent Teacher Awards
  • 1985–Established Heavenly Melody Video Production
  • 1989–Received the Golden Tripod Award Special Award from the Government Information Office
  • 1994–Established the Doris Brougham Education Scholarship
  • 2001–Launched Advanced magazine
  • 2002–Awarded the Order of the Brilliant Star with Violet Grand Cordon by President Chen Shui-bian
  • 2004–Received Schweitzer Award for English Teaching from the King Car Education Foundation
  • 2008–Received Hualien County Honorable Citizen Award
  • 2010–Awarded the Global Love of Life Medal by the Chou Ta-Kuan Cultural
  • 2011–Awarded the International Individual Achievement Award by the National Religious Broadcasters Association
  • 2014–Seattle, Washington declared April 2 as Doris M. Brougham Day
  • 2014–Washington State Senate passes resolution to honor Doris M. Brougham for her lifelong work to Taiwan and good bilateral relations between Washington State and Taiwan
  • 2017–Awarded Honorary Citizen by Tainan City Government
  • 2021–Awarded first Women's Outstanding Contribution Award from the National Women’s League of the R.O.C.
  • 2022–Awarded Special Award of the 25th Taipei Culture Awards
  • 2023–Received Republic of China passport from President Tsai Ing-Wen
  • 2023–Received Republic of China national identification card from Taipei City Mayor Wayne Jiang
  • 2024–Passed away at the age of 98, buried in Yangmingshan, Taipei
