HM Light Holds Concert at Taoyuan True Love Baptist Church

On March 8, HM Light held a concert at True Love Baptist Church in Taoyuan. The church, founded just 20 years ago, is located in a newly developed community, and consists mainly of young families with young children. The parents are Millennials and Gen Zers and many work in the tech industry.

HM Light performed their original song Praise in the Waiting and shared about their faith journeys. Lead female vocalist Grace Huang shared her testimony of growing up in a pastor’s family and developing a passion for music ministry at a young age. She started serving in worship ministry when she was in fifth grade.

After graduating from university, she went to Australia to undergo worship music training at C3 Church. During that time, she developed depression and panic disorder due to long-term emotional suppression. Through prayer, counseling, medical treatment, and the support of friends, she gradually recovered from depression. Upon returning to Taiwan, she served in a church and struggled with insecurity, low self-esteem and pride, leading to another period of depression. Later, she attended a two-month healing program at Singing Waters Ministries in Canada and she experienced Gods’ unconditional love and was fully healed from depression. She learned to trust God fully and not define her worth by her achievements or performance. Today, she serves in Heavenly Melody and continues to serve in music ministry at a local church.

The church’s pastor, Pastor Titus Sung, shared that while his church has invited many groups to share at the church, the congregation’s response to HM Light was especially enthusiastic, and the testimonies and music of HM Light deeply touched many of those in attendance. Every family that came purchased a copy of HM Light’s new album. Sung added that his church hopes to invite HM Light again in the near future for another powerful music and testimony sharing session.
