On Easter Sunday, March 31, the Greater Hsinchu Churches’ Joint Easter Service was held at Hsinchu County Stadium. This Easter Service, linking numerous Hsinchu City and Hsinchu County churches together to share God’s love with their region, has been held successfully for 28 years. This year, Heavenly Melody was invited to perform The Journey of Love musical, which tells of ORTV Founder Dr. Doris Brougham’s 70 years of missionary service in Taiwan, at the event.
Heavenly Melody, with Studio Classroom teachers, performed a one-hour version of The Journey of Love musical. In the finale, Brougham played her trumpet in “Down from His Glory” and encouraged the audience that “God uses ordinary people. God wants to use everyone to share His love.” Many in the audience were moved to tears and thunderous applause followed the performance.
A few thousand people attended the Easter Service, including Hsinchu County Magistrate Yang Wen-ke, Hsinchu City Mayor Kao Hung-an and many local government officials. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve at this event and pray God will continue to use us to shine brightly for Him throughout Taiwan.
