On November 19, Dr. Doris Brougham joined Shih Chien University Symphony Orchestra and Orange Orchestra’s joint concert at Shih Chien University. The two orchestras, led by Shih Chien University conductor Ouyang Huigang and Orange Orchestra conductor Hsieh Beiguang jointly performed the overture to “The Thieving Magpie”, “University Celebration Overture”, Beethoven’s “Symphony Number 3”, and other classic pieces.
Dr. Doris Brougham played her trumpet in the finale performance, and her rousing performance received thunderous applause from the audience. Many were inspired by her superb performance and never-give-up spirit at 97 years old. After the performance, many people surrounded Brougham to take photos to capture this special performance.
