Taipei City’s Department of Cultural Affairs awarded Dr. Doris Brougham its Special Award at the 25th Taipei Culture Awards. The presentation ceremony will be held at the end of November and Taipei Mayor Ko Wen-je will present the award.
Taipei City Major Ko Wen-je shared earlier this year that in junior high school, he listened to Brougham on Studio Classroom’s radio program to learn English.
This award recognizes Brougham’s significant contributions to raising the English level of Taipei, where Studio Classroom is headquartered, and Brougham has lived for over 60 years.
