Today, we celebrated a beautiful moment—asteroid 603380 was officially named “Dorisbrougham”, in honor of her lifetime dedication to English education, cultural exchange, and faith-based service.
Yu- Hsiang Lee, Secretary-General of National Central University, presented the commemorative plaque to Daniel Hsieh, CEO of Studio Classroom and Executive Director of Overseas Radio & Television, Inc.
What makes this day even more special is that today would have been Doris Brougham’s 99th birthday.
What an amazing birthday present!
Hsieh shared a heartwarming memory: “In 2023, when Doris learned that the university planned to name an asteroid after her, she happily told her colleagues, “In the future, when you look up in the sky, I’ll be up there with God watching you.’”
Now, Doris not only lives on in our memories, but up in the stars— a lasting reminder of a life that continues to inspire generations.
