Taipei--On December 14, the Council
of Indigenous People under the Executive
Yuan in Taiwan awarded ORTV with the Excellent
Indigenous Peoples Excellent Business Award.
This award is given to businesses that have
a substantial number of indigenous, or aboriginal
staff. There are twelve indigenous groups
in Taiwan, approximately 2%, or 440,000,
of Taiwan's population of 23 million. Compared
with the rest of Taiwan, where only 2-2.5%
of the population are Christians, a large
percentage of aboriginals are Christians.
