From October 5-10, Heavenly Melody went to the Philippines for evangelistic concerts at the Millennium Church in Manila to join in their fifth anniversary celebrations. Partnering with Pastor Paul Liu, during the two-day performances, about 1,300 people attended, among whom 27 accepted Jesus, 26 were willing to know more, and over 38 Christians recommitted their lives to Christ. This time the theme of the concerts was Arena of Life, the same Taiwanese program as the Heavenly Melody meetings in Taiwan in March, Macau in July, and Indonesia in September.

This is Pastor Paul¡¦s first overseas mission trip with Heavenly Melody. He remarks, ¡§I hope there will be more opportunities for us to preach the Gospel to both overseas and local Chinese together in the future.

Heavenly Melody member Daniel Hsieh comments, ¡§I¡¦m thankful for the opportunity to serve Chinese around the world. I was impressed by the hospitability of the local Christians in the Philippines and their enthusiasm for preaching the Gospel.¡¨ Currently recording a new Mandarin album scheduled to be released later this year, Passing Down the Love, the members hope to reach more Chinese for the Gospel through music.
