On Sunday 4rth of September, ORTV paid a
visit to the Changhua Christian Hospital
(CCH) in Changhua, Taiwan. Founded by
a Scottish-born medical missionary in
1896, the hospital continues to extend
the same Christian kindness to its patients
as that which first led to its establishment
over one hundred years ago. With their
Pastoral Care Department, CCH offers
prayer and worship services that encourage
some patients in their faith and introduce
others to the Gospel for the first time.
It was to this hospital that ORTV¡¦s teachers
came to help doctors and nurses prepare
for their upcoming GEPT examination. The
students first engaged in a whole host
of activities and games that encouraged
them to converse in English. Eager to learn,
the students readily participated; some
were even rewarded with prizes! After all
the excitement and laughter, the students
were split up into either LTE or SC levels
to take a practice exam suitable for their
English level. Though the students were
nervous, they proved to their teachers
that they are more than ready for the GEPT.
Please pray for the English-learning efforts
of the staff and the health of the patients
of the Changhua Christian Hospital.
