Doris Brougham and Heavenly Melody spent
a week in Macau working with a local church
for a large outreach. Only 1% of this small
Chinese territory south of Hong Kong are
Christians. Macau is striving to be an Asian
Las Vegas. 90% of the income in Macau is
from gambling. High school graduates prefer
working in casinos as they can make more
money there than they can with a college
degree.
Local believers all wore yellow t-shirts,
which were very evident as they went through
the city inviting people to attend the special
services that were held in parks, halls
and a large stadium. An estimated 2000 people
decided to become believers in the 5-day
campaign. The local pastor said he has never
seen anything like it. It was a real breakthrough.
