Doris Brougham Educational Scholarship was awarded at the office building of StudioClassroom on July 12th afternoon. The founder of the scholarship, Dr. Doris Brougham, awarded the scholarships in person. The scholarship winners, along with their families attended the ceremony. Matt Wu (Zhong Xian), a well known TV entertainer who¡¦s now studying at the National Taiwan University of Arts Graduate School of Applied Media was also recipient and gave a response on behalf of the winners. This scholarship was founded in 1994 to encourage students who perform well in the English and the media field. To many students, the scholarship awarded by the well known educator Dr. Doris Brougham, actually represented a high honor and a deep encouragement that surpassed the financial benefit.

In her welcoming speech, Dr. Doris Brougham reminded everyone that the true meaning of the scholarship is to express to the desire of all the S.C. teachers to be their ¡§the friends for life¡¨ as well as to introduce them to the One who wants to be their friend for life and eternity.

Doris Brougham Educational Scholarship is divided into three groups: high school and vocational school group (NT$ 5,000), university and college group (NT$ 8,000), and the graduate school students (NT$ 20,000). More than NT$ 2 million is given out each year, to more than 2000 students .
