At the end of May, middle school students
across Taiwan took the island-wide High
School Entrance Exam. Of these, 43 scored
full marks on the exam. Local papers profiled
students who scored full marks and those
who excelled. Tsai Chi-Shiang, an exemplary
student who scored full marks on the exam,
did not attend cram school, like most of
his classmates. Instead, he just did his
schoolwork, paid attention in class, and
studied English using Let's Talk in
English and Studio Classroom.
Another student, Guo I-zhi, who skipped
a grade in school, was also profiled. A
Let's Talk in English since she
was in elementary school, Guo will attend
Taipei First Girls' High School, the top
girls high school in Taiwan.
We are thankful that our magazines continue
to help the people in Taiwan and throughout
the world learn English.
