Heavenly Melody was nominated for the Best Religious Music Album at the recent Golden Melody Awards, Taiwan's version of the Grammy Awards in America. Arena of Life is Heavenly Melody's second Taiwanese album. Heavenly Melody's first Taiwanese album, Loving Care, won the Golden Melody Award in 2003.

TV evangelist Pastor Paul Liu joined Heavenly Melody in March to hold evangelistic meetings in seven cities throughout Taiwan. The meetings had a traditional Taiwanese set and incorporated elements of Taiwanese culture such as hand puppets and Chinese martial arts. It focused on the theme: ˇ§life is a drama (Arena of Life)ˇ¨.

Heavenly Melody is committed to ministering to Taiwanese-speaking people in Taiwan and around the world. Esther Liao, the producer of the two Taiwanese albums, is from a Taiwanese church in Taichung. She comments, ˇ§It was very encouraging to be nominated again. Although Arena of Life did not receive the award, to be singled out from six thousand albums shows that our efforts and commitment in composing Taiwanese Gospel music are not in vain. We will continue composing music and spreading God's love to every part of the world!ˇ¨
