We recently held our Spiritual Emphasis
Founder's Week retreat at the Tienmu Agricultural
Center in Taipei. The theme of this year's
retreat was breakthrough. The entire
staff of 280 from branches around Taiwan
were challenged by Pastors Andrew Kou and
Mike Osment to break through in different
areas. They shared that personal breakthroughs
in faith would ultimately lead to a peaceful
and united work environment.
Staff members attended workshops on topics
ranging from personality analysis to etiquette
to balloon making. Pastor Mike Osment led
a workshop on crisis counseling while Pam
Osment led a workshop on improving communication
skills. Heavenly Melody and the Songbirds
led the worship and staff gave testimonies
of how God is working in their lives.
Staff enjoyed building up relationships
with other coworkers. Steve Marth of the
English Department writes, ¡§I was blessed.
I thought it was a great opportunity to
catch up with other co-workers, particularly
from the branch offices in a non-work environment,
and focus in and challenge one another in
the essentials, like character development
and the word of God.¡¨
We are thankful God has chosen to use ORTV
for 45 years. Thousands have come to know
Him through radio and TV. We have much to
be thankful for!
