Heavenly Melody's recent seven-city Arena of Life Taiwanese tour ended on March 14. Pastor Paul Liu, a host of three Christian TV programs, joined the choir as they traveled around the island. Pastor Paul's wife became a Christian at an ORTV Bible study.

The concerts had a traditional Taiwanese set and incorporated elements of Taiwanese culture such as hand puppets and Chinese martial arts. It focused on the theme: ¡§life is a drama (Arena of Life)¡¨ Throughout the show, Pastor Paul interacted with Taiwanese puppets, explaining how life is a drama. Together they focused on the ideas that God, the Creator of heaven and earth, is the Director, and that He gives each person their role to play. It is up to each individual to respond and perform that role in the drama of life. The performances caused people to start thinking about the roles that they are given, and to have a deeper understanding of the greatest Director of all times ¡V God.

Heavenly Melody members and Pastor Paul Liu share their thoughts about the tour:

Wesley Hsu: ¡§Whatever role God gives us to play, whether it is pastor, singer, or head of a family, we should always do our best.¡¨

Johnny Wen: ¡§Serving with Pastor Liu was a fascinating and interesting experience. Through his work and testimony, I acquired greater depth in my understanding of God.¡¨

Tammy Lin: ¡§During rehearsals, our Taiwanese truck driver, a non-Christian, watched our programs and carefully listened to God's message. Praise the Lord for spreading His love through Taiwanese songs!¡¨

Mei Wang: ¡§Although we didn't have as big a turnout as we had expected, we still came in contact with groups that rarely hear the Gospel. Through Pastor Paul Liu's preaching and our songs, many Taiwanese heard the Gospel. People came up to me after the performance and said, ¡§I want to play the role I was given to play with all of my heart.¡¨

Eva Chiu: ¡§I was touched that I could use my mother language (Taiwanese) to sing and spread God's love. Combining Taiwanese traditional hand puppet drama, an art that I've been familiar with since childhood with our performance to evangelize was very exciting!¡¨

Daniel Hsieh: ¡§Everyone on our team worked together wholeheartedly to complete the tour. We were able to bless many people.¡¨

Pastor Paul Liu: ¡§The cast and crew worked together well. Although some members of the crew weren't Christians, we still worked together as one.¡¨
