Mary Grams,
Director of International Student Services
at Azusa Pacific University, and Shawna
Lafreniere, a special advisor at the APU
International Center, paid a visit to the
ORTV main office last week. The two were
in town to connect with alumni and raise
their profile among Taiwanese students looking
to study abroad. Taipei was their last stop
in a three-week whirlwind tour of Asia.
They both expressed their love and gratitude
for Doris and the ORTV community.
ORTV has a long-standing relationship with
Azusa Pacific. ORTV founder, Doris Brougham,
received a doctorate from APU in 1988, and
tens of ORTV staff members and their children
have attended APU to earn their graduate
and undergraduate degrees.
Grams and Lafreniere participated in a radio
interview for English Street in which they
explained the importance of cultural diversity
on college campuses. They were also special
guests at the two Heavenly Melody concerts
in Taipei. Many students visited their booth
to get information about APU programs.
