Kids Rally in Yuli   On Saturday, January 15th, seven ORTV staff-members headed down to Yuli, a small town on Taiwan¡¦s east coast. While there, they gave a three-hour rally for 150 children, singing songs, playing English games, and doing crafts with the kids. The education system in rural Yuli is considered to be a bit behind that of the big cities in Taiwan. They also suffer from a lack of materials. ORTV teachers Phil and Liz Archer have been going to Yuli once a month for almost a year, doing teacher training for some of the local English teachers.   ¡§This trip was special because we spent more time with the kids,¡¨ says Phil Archer. ¡§Usually we spend most of our time with the teachers, but this time we got to have fun with the kids and show them a lot of love.¡¨ His wife, Liz, adds, ¡§Spending time with the kids helped us to regain focus and reminded us why we¡¦re doing this program.¡¨
