Heavenly Melody Sings for 1919 Campaign

While most people were celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival on September 28, the Heavenly Melody Singers and ORTV Founder Doris Brougham were participating in a press conference for the 1919 Campaign at Warner Village in Taipei.

The 1919 Campaign has been established by Christians to help raise money for the poor and homeless in Taiwan who have faced recent natural disasters or other difficulties. ˇ§1919ˇ¨ literally means, ˇ§want save, want saveˇ¨ in Chinese, and it is the goal of the campaign to help those who are in great need.

Heavenly Melody performed three songs in the open-air event, which was attended by many reporters, as well as Taipei's Mayor Ma and Reverend Hsia. ˇ§I'm thankful we had the chance to sing,ˇ¨ said Daniel Hsieh. ˇ§We hope many people were touched by the music.ˇ¨

For people who would like to get involved donating money to this cause, from within Taiwan they can dial ˇ§51919ˇ¨ starting October 1 to place their donation. The campaign will last for three months. In November, Heavenly Melody will also be singing at a camp that is sponsored by the 1919 Campaign, so they will continue to be involved in this worthy cause.
