Dr. Doris Brougham Honored by Toastmasters International   Taipei, Taiwan April 24, 2004 Dr. Doris Brougham, Founder of Studio Classroom, was selected as one of the most outstanding leaders throughout the world by Toastmasters International, and was presented with its Communication and Leadership Award for 2004. The award was presented to Dr. Brougham at the Toastmasters District 67—Taiwan Convention, at National Taiwan Ocean University, Keelung. Toastmasters District 67—Taiwan Governor Athena Lien cited Dr. Doris Brougham as ¡§her life mentor and the most respected English teacher in Taiwan¡¨. The highlights of the Toastmasters District 67—Taiwan Convention during which the award was presented included a Speech Training/Workshop, Convention Festival, National Impromptu Speech Contest and Speech Contest on April 24 & 25. District 67—Taiwan is composed of 85 Toastmasters clubs and approximately 3,000 members in Taiwan. Toastmasters International is a nonprofit, education association that has helped more than four million people through its communication and leadership program. There are more than 190,000 members in 9,600 clubs in 80 countries throughout the world.
