SC Kids Media Camps Successfully Conclude

Studio Classroom successfully concluded two kids’ media camps last week, with nearly 90 elementary school-aged kids attending. The camps were back by popular demand after last year’s camps were cancelled due to the pandemic. Studio Classroom Founder Dr. Doris Brougham opened the camps by encouraging the kids with: “Learning English can be fun. You have good teachers and the opportunity to have a great time here.”

Studio Classroom Executive Director Daniel Hsieh said that the camps had been meticulously designed by ORTV’s professionals from multiple disciplines. Besides English classes, content covered included: virtual studio, photography, dubbing, theatre, board games, light art, radio commercial and theme song recordings. Hsieh suggested that parents keep their kids’ media works and use it as part of their learning achievement milestones in the future. Besides cultivating hard skills, the camp helped kids improve their soft skills through music, dance, drama, games, and team competitions.

Harry, a sixth grader who attended the camp shared: “My favorite part of the camp was filming a video with SC’s foreign teachers, because I like acting. This is my second time attending Studio Classroom’s Media Camp and I really enjoy it.”

We’re thrilled the kids enjoyed their time with us and look forward to holding more camps in the future.
